Hi, I’m Hedley, a Systems Manager for a small Typesetting company in Surrey, nearly 40, married with 3 kids and an Ark full of animals in the garden.
My love of Land Rovers started many years ago, but I have only recently become an owner (and my wife a Landy widow) since March 2008 when I bought my 1989 G reg One Ten. We needed a car that could hold more than 5 people and was good offroad as I do a lot of shooting and ferreting. My wife and I have always loved Land Rovers and after some research, ok it was 6 months of research, we decided it had to be a Defender/One Ten and a long wheelbase. Many months of searching the private ads, Ebay and websites and we finally purchased the big green bus from down in Maidstone.
I set up this site as a place for me to store all the part numbers I have used. It was originally coded in Perl and worked quite well, but just wasn’t scaleable and flexible enough for my needs so I moved it over to WordPress and bar some tearing of hair moments, it seems to work ok.
The site has since grown to inlcude many more new sitems, posts, guides, a gallery, pdf manual downloads and if all goes well and I have any hair left, an online shop! This is still in the testing phase but it seems to be working well.
In my spare time I also run a Web Design & Hosting company called Digital Essence as well as being a member of the Parish Council.
